…doodly doo doo doodly doo. So, the Diva took us back to Zentangle basics with her challenge this week. I can’t say I embraced the challenge with a great bear hug. I think I gave it more of a “yeah, you rock” fist bump. I don’t keep tiles anymore, so I pulled an old one and and traced 2 into my current sketchbook side by side. I used kind of diamond strings and these were the result. I can’t say I like either one but the process was kind of nice. 15 minutes per tile with no result in mind.
Since I didn’t like those I tried again with a simple curvy line string from bottom left to top right…which turned into monotangle zen. Something about squares and being inside them just doesn’t sit well with me. So, with mad respect to the O.Z. the line “nobody puts baby in a corner” keeps running through my mind and I move on. Apparently I’m a ZIA girl all the way…and that’s okay.
