Just a quick little Christmas tree tangle I did in between cleaning the house for the holiday!
It’s silly and a bit childish but that made it fun 🙂
Gearing up for the craziness of Black Friday at work I’ve got to stop and give thanks not only to good friends and family but to the Zentangling/ZIA communities I’m part of. Finding these great communities and actually practicing the art of Zentangle has really helped me through some tough times over the past couple of years. Other Tanglers are also an ever flowing river of inspiration that I can never get enough of.
I found this card while shopping for towels.
On the front cover it says:
“A L-O-V-E letter for you…yes you!
Pick it up.”
“Rest in His love…
His grace, which is given as a gift to you and me.
A found sheep.”
Praying today that you are aware just how much God loves you! Everlasting, faithful love. He knew you before you were born. He knew you when He was forming the world. He made you on purpose, smiling all the while.
He loves you without complication, without reserve and without remembering your sin. He loves you deeply, with clarity and strength. He formed you to carry His light into the dark world.
He made you and me to love…as He loves with forgiveness, in peace and on purpose.
S-H-I-N-E bright, listen more, speak less.”
Now, aside from the religious sentiment which was posed in a non threatening…actually kind of sweet way, I was really touched by the whole thing. Someone came up with this concept, printed the cards, folded them with care and composed lovely hand written notes. Who knows how many? Then they took them out to various places and left them for people to find.
Being one of those people might not amount to much in the grand scheme of things but finding it and reading it, standing in the middle of a crowded store while shopping for towels, brought a smile to my face in an otherwise mundane day.
So, thank you stranger with the lovely penmanship and the caring heart. Thank you.
